Mission Statement

It is the mission of the Professional Chimney Sweeping Guild of America to promote safety, and the preservation of life, for all who use fireplaces and chimneys. This is done by maintaining very high standards of ethics and integrity.

Our goal is to advance the skills of all chimney sweeps by adopting the latest techniques for all cleaning and inspection procedures, as well as all types of repair work. We then share these techniques through our network of chimney professionals.

This way all our members benefit by learning different methods to handle many jobs. This makes them more efficient and able to provide a higher quality service to our customers.

The PCGA also believes in raising public awareness of the dangers that surround chimneys, fireplaces, and all other types of heating and ventilation systems. Through proper education, we can help prevent the spread of fires and injuries that are related to many types of home heating systems.
